This imposing residence is resplendent in its palm littered grounds and more akin to a colonial palace than a holiday villa. The spectacular curved swimming pool and ornamental streams look almost natural within the cleverly landscaped surrounds. The interior décor is understated and all the more magnificent for it; a classic Mediterranean palette of sea blue and earthy terracotta set against pure white walls. If you define luxury as space then this home has it by the bucket full; from the double height living room with minstrel’s gallery to the abundance of sun terraces, scattered like a pack of cards in every direction. Each of the four bedrooms spills onto a wide balcony with views across the grounds to the countryside beyond. There is a very grand outdoor dining area and kitchen for total al fresco living. The port of Santa Eulalia is at the bottom of the hill, with its child-friendly sandy beach and long-established reputation as the island's gastronomic and cultural capital.
