Villa Tantanni sits on a quiet hillside above the lovely little unspoilt village of Monaccia d’Aullene. A far cry from the chi-chi shops and exclusive eateries of Porto Vecchio, Monaccia is a traditional and charismatic hamlet with an authentically Corsican feel. The house is classically Mediterranean in appearance, with a terracotta tiled roof, apricot-coloured walls and sky-blue shutters. The décor is simple and tasteful, with plenty of space to spread out and unwind. Villa Tantanni’s crowning glory is a beautifully curved infinity pool, artfully landscaped with huge boulders and wooden decking to create a fabulous centrepiece for this lovely country house. The view across the village and rolling hills to the coast beyond is completely bewitching and magnificent by sunset. The white sand and turquoise water beaches of Furnello are only ten minutes away and the Figari vineyards or historic Citadel of Sartène can be reached in less than half an hour.
