Chef Profile - Catherine Heywood, Executive Chef in Corsica
Having enjoyed cooking as a hobby all her life, Catherine decided to trade in her marketing job in London to follow her dream to be involved with food as a full time career. After graduating from the Ireland’s celebrated Ballymaloe Cookery School near Cork, she worked as a pastry chef at the award winning Food by Breda Murphy in the Ribble Valley.
From here Catherine moved on to Joseph Benjamin in Chester before turning her hand to private catering by working with two major catering firms as well as running her own events. In 2009 Catherine combined travel abroad with cooking, and worked as a private chef for an independent chalet company in the Alps.
In November, she became Executive Chef for Snowline and VIP, sister companies to Coastline, responsible for training our chalet hosts in the winter and overseeing the chalet catering activities for the season. She is now enjoying cooking for our summer guests in Corsica. Catherine’s passion is to cook seasonal food from local ingredients and she has already had wonderful reviews from guests.
